Popular golden lager type. This is one of the youngest beer types in the world, created in 1842 in the Czech town of Pilsen. There beer is made from a soft local water, light malt and aromatic hops. Pilsner typically has 4-5% strength, durable white froth, intensive hop bitterness and is especially popular in hot summer.
Strong advertising hop aroma and bitterness are mandatory for this type. Strong malt flavour is notable in the aroma and taste, and the taste is characterized by richness. It can be used with salad, salmon, chicken, as well as with spicy dishes from the Mexican cuisine.
